The Navajo Nation Telecommunication & Utilities (NNTU) department exists to provide vital services to the Navajo Nation Government Offices. Without electricity, water and other utility services, the government offices would not be able to function. Without telecommunication and two-way radio communication, the government offices would not be able to communicate effectively.
Thereby, there exists NNTU to procure and provide these services on behalf of the Navajo Nation Government.
The Government Services Committee of the Navajo Nation Council and the Budget & Finance Committee of the Navajo Nation Council are the oversight committees for NNTU.
